SHOEMART Unveils Footwear Line Made Especially for Diabetic Runners

SHOEMART has released a new footwear line designed to reduce foot discomfort among diabetic individuals, in collaboration with Dubai’s Al Jalila Foundation.

The initiative supports the Foundation’s Majlis Al Amal community and aims to raise awareness about diabetic foot health through smart design and accessible price points. Designed with input from medical experts, the new shoes feature pressure-relief soles, cushioned insoles, and breathable fabrics to reduce foot strain for diabetic users. Proceeds from the collection will go toward funding medical research and education on diabetes care in the UAE.

The line was launched during a dedicated event at Al Jalila Foundation in the presence of executives from Landmark Group and Al Jalila, alongside community stakeholders and healthcare professionals.

With the World Health Organisation estimating that one in 10 adults globally live with diabetes, the move marks a step toward inclusive, health-conscious retail offerings, while supporting local medical innovation.
