New Platform ‘Tadreeb’ Uses AI to License Drivers in Dubai

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has launched Tadreeb, an AI-powered platform designed to digitise the entire driver training process. The system connects 27 driving schools across Dubai, recording lessons through geo-tracking, managing trainee progress, and running assessments entirely without paper. More than 250,000 learners pass through the system each year, amounting to millions of hours of recorded training.

By pooling performance data across all institutes, Tadreeb is made to provide a consistent framework for evaluating driving candidates and simplifies testing and certification. Its AI capabilities allow for tailored assessments based on individual progress, making evaluations more adaptive and accurate.

The platform also supports road safety initiatives, aiming to lower accident rates among new drivers by enabling remote learning and more accessible training resources.
