Ahmed Helmy Wraps Filming on 'Hadouta' Ahead of August Release
The social comedy drama stars Amina Khalil, Khaled El Sawy, Rahma Ahmed and Maged El Masry.
Actor Ahmed Helmy has completed filming on 'Hadouta', marking his return to Egyptian cinema in a leading role after nearly four years. The film is scheduled to arrive in cinemas this August as part of the Summer 2026 release slate.
Directed by Mazen Ashraf and written by Ahmed Abdel Rahman, 'Hadouta' is described as a social comedy drama that follows intertwined human stories, blending humour with everyday relationships.
The film features an ensemble cast including Amina Khalil, Rahma Ahmed, Khaled El Sawy, Maged El Masry, Mohamed Abdel Azim and Ahmed Helmy.
'Hadouta' follows Helmy's last leading film role in 2022's 'Wahed Tany'. Since then, he has appeared in cameo roles in 'Al Sitt', starring Mona Zaki, and 'Dhai Seerat Ahl El Dhai', while continuing his theatre work through productions including 'Bani Adam', 'Memo' and 'Teet'.
With principal photography now complete, the production enters its final post-production stages ahead of its planned August release.
