Dancing Goat Coffee is Opening in Beirut, Lebanon
Egyptian-born Dancing Goat is opening in Beirut—and flying one person to Lebanon to celebrate its first international branch.
Dancing Goat is taking its coffee across the Mediterranean. The Egyptian-born coffee house is opening a new branch in Beirut, Lebanon, marking its first steps abroad and giving the city’s already formidable coffee culture a new Egyptian participant.
A Beirut opening carries certain responsibilities. The coffee must be taken seriously, the tables must accommodate conversations of unreasonable duration and the celebration cannot be confined to a social-media graphic. Dancing Goat has therefore decided to bring someone along.
To mark the opening, the coffee house is giving one person the chance to fly to Lebanon. The winner will trade the familiar journey to their local branch for an international coffee run, following Dancing Goat from Egypt to its new address in Beirut.
The opening extends the brand beyond the country where it began, while the giveaway turns that expansion into a shared itinerary. Most customers celebrate a new coffee-shop branch with a complimentary drink. Dancing Goat has added airfare.
