Dancing Goat & Avec Karim Are Pairing Your Coffee With Cheese

Coffee and cheese might not be the first pairing that comes to mind, but Dancing Goat and Avec Karim are making a case for it with a new Cheese Platter.

Created in consultation with chef Karim of Avec Karim, the platter brings together a selection of cheeses and accompaniments specifically made to pair with your coffee. It’s now available across Dancing Goat’s branches, giving your usual coffee run a slightly more savoury side.

For those unfamiliar with Dancing Goat, the specialty coffee brand started out as an independent roaster in New Cairo, roasting its beans in small batches before growing into a café presence with more than 25 branches across Cairo and beyond. Its menu has since expanded well beyond coffee, with matcha, seasonal drinks, cookies, salads and plenty of other café staples joining the roster.

Avec Karim, meanwhile, has built its name around a Mediterranean-leaning approach to food, with chef Karim often taking diners on a trip through different flavours, ingredients and culinary influences. Its Tableside concept, for example, draws from years of foraging trips, turning those discoveries into story-driven dining experiences.
