Your UAE Story Could Become Part of This Year’s National Day

As the UAE gets ready for its 55th National Day celebrations, people living across all seven emirates are being invited to share their memories, experiences and ideas about life in the UAE, with some of those stories set to become part of this year’s Eid Al Etihad celebrations.

From September 10th to 24th, 2026, a series of community workshops will bring people together for storytelling, crafts and other creative activities, giving citizens and residents a chance to contribute to how the UAE’s biggest national celebration takes shape.

The workshops will travel across the country, starting in Fujairah on September 10th and 11th, followed by Ras Al Khaimah, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Dubai and Al Ain, before wrapping up in Abu Dhabi on September 23th and 24th.

So if you have a favourite UAE memory, a story about the place you call home, or simply something you think belongs in this year’s celebrations, this is your chance to put it forward. Applications are open until September 8th, with selected participants contacted directly by the Eid Al Etihad team.
