Zamzam Mosque Opens in Al Barsha South 2 for 850 Worshippers

The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department opened the Zamzam Mosque in Al Barsha South 2 to serve residents in the community and nearby areas. The mosque can accommodate up to 850 worshippers, with 700 spaces for men and 150 for women. Designed in a modern style inspired by traditional Islamic architecture, the complex includes a main prayer hall, a dedicated women’s prayer area, a minaret and an arcade. On-site housing is provided for the Imam and the Muezzin. Supporting facilities include ablution areas and parking, with access provided for People of Determination and elderly worshippers. The mosque is equipped with modern air-conditioning and sound systems, alongside energy-efficient lighting and sustainability features aligned with Dubai’s environmental goals. The project was funded through a donation from the Abdul Wahed Al Rostamani Group and his grandchildren.
