New Plan Eases Truck Congestion on Fujairah–Khorfakkan Road
The plan introduces designated lanes and timings for trucks to enhance road efficiency and safety.
Truck movement along the Fujairah–Khorfakkan Road has been improved in both directions under a new traffic management plan aimed at easing congestion and reducing travel times. The measures were introduced by Fujairah Police through its Traffic and Licensing Services Centre to better regulate the flow of heavy vehicles on the route.
The plan includes increased field patrols, along with designated lanes and specific timings for truck movement to minimise overlap with other vehicles and improve overall road efficiency.
Authorities have also intensified awareness campaigns, urging drivers to follow traffic regulations and safety guidelines, supported by enforcement measures to maintain road safety standards.
Additional support initiatives were introduced for drivers, including the distribution of meals to truck operators during peak periods.
