UNFPA Partners with Ahl Masr Hospital to Support Burn Survivors of Gender-Based Violence The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) has signed a partnership with Ahl Masr Hospital for Burn Treatment to provide comprehensive support for women and girls who are survivors of gender-based violence through burning. As part of the collaboration, a Safe Women Clinic will be established at the hospital, offering free medical and psychological services. Survivors will also be integrated into Egypt’s National Referral Pathway on violence against women and girls, led by the National Council for Women with support from the Royal Norwegian Embassy. This initiative is part of a broader national program, which has so far launched 71 Safe Women Clinics across Egypt to strengthen protection and response services for survivors.
