UAE's First Green Innovation District Launched at Expo City Dubai
The district will host facilities for renewable energy, green manufacturing, sustainable mobility and circular economy initiatives, with research, testing and incubators on site.
The UAE has established its first Green Innovation District at Expo City Dubai, positioning the site as a dedicated centre for clean-tech companies, sustainable infrastructure development and circular-economy ventures.
Spanning renewable energy, green manufacturing and sustainable mobility, the district aims to leverage Expo City’s existing infrastructure to accelerate the deployment of technologies that support the nation’s decarbonisation goals.
Announced by the Ministry of Economy & Tourism and the Expo City Dubai Authority, the initiative invites global and regional firms to operate within the new zone under a purpose-built “Green Licence” framework designed to streamline entry and support for environmentally focused businesses.
