Abyusif Drops Surprise Eid Single ‘Pegi Goo’

Shortly after being announced as part of the upcoming official EP of Egyptian film, ‘EgyBest’, Abyusif returns with a surprise release ‘Pegi Goo’ just in time for Eid.

Produced by Abyusif himself, ‘Pegi Goo’ showcases the rapper’s signature rapid-fire wordplay and pop-culture references, with the title serving as a riff off the popular South Korean DJ and producer Peggy Gou.
Lyrically, Abyusif cements his lone-wolf status in Egypt’s rap scene, delivering sharp, commanding bars and even comparing his output to prolific film producer Mohamed El Sobky.

In typical Abyu fashion, the track’s production sidesteps conventional melodic structures, instead using looping, punchy rhythms layered with industrial textures and what sounds like video game samples.

Beyond this surprise Eid drop, Abyusif also contributes ‘Shoghle’ to the ‘EgyBest’ soundtrack EP. Spanning four tracks, the project, led by composer Ehad Abdel Wahed, fuses shaabi, trap, industrial textures, and electronic production, with contributions from MOND, Hady Moamer, and Showkey.
