UAE Tops Global Government Trust Rankings in 2026 Edelman Survey

The United Arab Emirates has been ranked first globally for public trust in government in the 2026 Edelman Trust Index, according to data from the annual survey published by the New York–based Edelman.
The UAE scored 80 out of 100 in the 2026 Government Trust Index, marking an increase from its previous result and tying with China at the top of the list, though the UAE’s year-on-year rise was larger. Other leading countries in the ranking included India (74), Indonesia (73), Saudi Arabia (73) and Nigeria (72).
The Edelman Trust Index evaluates confidence in institutions including government, business, media and non-governmental organisations based on extensive survey data collected from dozens of countries.
