Snapchat Reports Saudi Arabia as One of Its Fastest-Growing Markets
Snapchat’s AR lenses continue to record some of their highest engagement rates in Saudi Arabia compared to other markets.
Snapchat has identified Saudi Arabia as one of its fastest-growing and most significant global markets, reporting more than 26 million monthly active users in the Kingdom. According to company figures, around 90% of Saudis aged 13 to 34 use the platform, often opening it more than 50 times a day.
The company attributes this growth to expanding digital adoption and rising demand for augmented-reality tools in entertainment, communication and retail. Snapchat’s AR lenses continue to record some of their highest engagement rates in Saudi Arabia compared to other markets.
To support this user base, Snapchat has expanded its operational presence in the country over the past year, including its office in Riyadh’s JAX District. The site functions as a hub for partnerships with public and private entities, advertiser support and the development of local creative talent.
The company has also introduced programmes aimed at advancing digital skills, including the region’s first Snap Creators Council and a graduate development initiative focused on AR, digital creativity and marketing. Snapchat reports that the number of Saudi Snap Stars has doubled in the past three years and that active advertisers have more than quadrupled during the same period.
Planned initiatives for 2025–2027 include increasing participation in specialised training, expanding AR applications into education, tourism and retail, and integrating more AI-driven tools into the Snapchat camera.
