Saudi shoppers are turning to social platforms as a starting point for their purchasing and travel decisions. According to research by Snapchat, most travellers and fast-food buyers in the Kingdom begin their journey on social apps, where they explore recommendations, browse trends, and compare options.

Tools like augmented reality (AR) and AI are playing a growing role, helping users visualise products before buying. In sectors like electronics, features such as “view in your room” are becoming increasingly popular, while clothing and gadget purchases are often guided by AI-powered suggestions.

Influencers continue to shape consumer habits, introducing new destinations, products, and experiences that might otherwise go unnoticed. More than 90% of purchases are also influenced by input from friends and family.
