Saudi Ports Authority Launches Direct Link to Bahrain

A direct maritime shipping route has been introduced linking King Abdulaziz Port with Khalifa bin Salman Port through the Gulf Shuttle service operated by MSC.

The new service offers a capacity of up to 3,000 standard containers and forms part of broader efforts to expand regional shipping networks and strengthen logistics connectivity across the Gulf.

The route is designed to support trade flows between Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, while contributing to the wider positioning of the Kingdom as a logistics hub connecting Asia, Europe and Africa.

King Abdulaziz Port, located in Dammam, is one of the country’s primary maritime gateways, equipped with 43 berths and a handling capacity of up to 105 million tonnes of cargo and containers.
