24-Hour Water Cut Announced for Nasr City & New Cairo
Water supply will be cut for 24 hours in parts of Cairo on March 27th for network upgrades.
Water supply will be cut for 24 hours in parts of Cairo on Friday, March 27th, affecting Nasr City (excluding Zahraa Nasr City), Manshiet Nasser and the Third Settlement.
According to the Cairo Drinking Water Company, the interruption is required to connect a new 1400 mm water line in Zahraa El Maadi as part of ongoing efforts to upgrade and maintain the distribution network.
The company stated that engineering teams and equipment have been mobilised to complete the works as quickly as possible and restore supply, noting that the interruption is linked to operational requirements.
Hospitals, bakeries and other essential services in affected areas have been advised to secure their water needs in advance. Water tankers will be deployed free of charge across impacted zones, with residents able to request delivery through the company’s hotline or WhatsApp service.
