Saudi Center for Space Futures Signs MoU With University of Bologna
The partnership will advance joint research, training and governance frameworks for emerging space activities.
Saudi Arabia’s Center for Space Futures has signed a memorandum of understanding with University of Bologna to establish a framework for cooperation in space law, regulation and policy development.
The agreement outlines joint initiatives spanning research, professional training, internships and capacity-building programmes. The collaboration is designed to strengthen integration between academic research and applied policy, as governance models adapt to the evolving realities of space activities.
According to the Center for Space Futures, the partnership aims to reinforce the link between legal scholarship and regulatory practice in the space sector. The framework also focuses on developing specialised expertise in space law and supporting informed engagement with emerging regulatory challenges.
Both institutions stated that the agreement reflects a shared commitment to structured collaboration in areas of strategic importance to the global space ecosystem, combining academic depth with practical policy development.
