Saudi Arabia is the Top Travel Destination for Uzbek Visitors in 2025
Travel from Uzbekistan to Saudi Arabia surged by 71% in 2025, driven by pilgrimage, tourism and easier travel access.
Saudi Arabia recorded a significant rise in visitors from Uzbekistan in 2025, with more than 366,000 Uzbek citizens travelling to the Kingdom over the year. Official figures show that 366,251 people made the trip, representing a 71% increase compared to 2024.
Tourism and pilgrimage accounted for the largest share of visits. Nearly 198,000 travellers cited these purposes, reflecting continued demand for religious travel alongside broader interest in Saudi Arabia’s expanding tourism offering. Visiting relatives was the second most common reason for travel, with more than 38,000 Uzbek citizens making family-related trips.
Medical travel also featured among the reasons for visiting, with around 1,000 people travelling for treatment. Smaller numbers visited Saudi Arabia for official business, education or other purposes.
Travel experts linked the sharp increase in visitor numbers to simplified visa procedures and expanded air connectivity between the two countries. Additional flight options and more accessible entry requirements have reduced travel barriers, making Saudi Arabia a more affordable and practical destination for Uzbek travellers.
