Remote Learning Assessment Rules Updated With No Impact on Grades
The revised system adjusts how subjects are assessed online while maintaining overall grading outcomes.
Assessment rules for selected subjects have been updated under the remote learning framework, with confirmation that final student grades will remain unaffected. The revisions apply to subjects within the B group category and are designed to maintain consistency in evaluation during periods when teaching is delivered online.
Under the updated system, subjects are divided into two categories for the third academic term. In the first category, certain subjects will not be assessed during the term due to the suspension of in-person instruction. Final grades for these subjects will instead be calculated based on students’ performance in the first and second terms.
In the second category, assessments will continue without change. Teachers will evaluate students through classroom activities, projects and assignments adapted for online delivery, with all work recorded through approved digital learning platforms.
The changes are intended to support continuity in education while ensuring fairness in assessment during remote learning periods. Clear guidelines have been set to distinguish between subjects relying on previous term results and those continuing with ongoing evaluation through online coursework.
