Fintech PayTabs Acquires TAPnGO to Expand Contactless Payments in UAE
Saudi-headquartered PayTabs folds UAE contactless tech into its app, with over 20,000 regional businesses expected to adopt.
PayTabs, a Saudi-headquartered payment orchestration firm, has acquired full ownership of TAPn’GO, a UAE-based contactless payment technology provider.
The acquisition enables businesses across the Middle East and North Africa to accept digital payments directly through smartphones, removing the need for additional hardware by integrating contactless acceptance into PayTabs’ core merchant app.
TAPn’GO’s technology adds features such as bill splitting, tipping and paperless receipts, while synchronising point-of-sale transactions and supporting split payments across cards and digital wallets.
By incorporating these capabilities, PayTabs aims to streamline payment processes for sectors including retail, hospitality and healthcare.
Abdulaziz Al Jouf, CEO and Founder of PayTabs Group, said the acquisition supports the company’s role as a regional payments hub connecting businesses and consumers through integrated solutions.
Cyrille Picard, Founder of TAPn’GO, said the integration is expected to contribute to the region’s ongoing shift toward digital payment systems.
Following the deal, more than 20,000 businesses across the region are expected to adopt the upgraded platform as part of wider digital transformation efforts in payments.
