Over 5 Million Passengers Used Sharjah Airport in Q3 2025
Sea-air freight increased 32.8% to 4,296 tonnes, while total cargo reached 48,073 tonnes in the third quarter, Sharjah Airport Authority figures showed.
Passenger traffic at Sharjah International Airport exceeded 5.12 million in the third quarter of 2025, representing a 16.7 % increase compared with the same period in 2024.
Flight movements—including scheduled and non-scheduled services—rose to 30,737 in the quarter, up 10.7 % from 27,758 a year earlier.
Cargo volumes climbed modestly by 3.9 % to 48,073 tonnes, while sea-air freight saw a marked uptick of 32.8 %, rising from 3,236 to 4,296 tonnes year-on-year.
The growth comes amid ongoing investment in airport infrastructure, digital-process upgrades and destination-network expansion, reflecting the airport’s role in the emirate’s aviation-and-logistics strategy.
