New Guidelines for Administering Medicines in UAE Schools
Public and private schools across the UAE have introduced stricter procedures for storing and administering medicines to students with chronic health conditions.

Public and private schools across the UAE have introduced new rules for administering medication to students with chronic conditions such as asthma, diabetes, and hypertension. Parents are now required to submit an official medical report, a valid prescription, and a signed consent form for school clinics to store and dispense medication.
Medicines must be delivered directly to the school clinic in their original packaging. Schools have also made it mandatory to provide medical reports when requesting exemptions from physical education classes or assemblies.
The updated guidelines place greater emphasis on parental cooperation to ensure student safety and proper medical care within school premises.
