Khalifa University Ranks 6th Globally in Petroleum Engineering
Khalifa University placed sixth worldwide in petroleum engineering in the QS World University Rankings.
Khalifa University of Science and Technology has ranked sixth globally for petroleum engineering in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2026.
The university also placed 92nd worldwide in electrical and electronic engineering, while chemical engineering entered the global Top 100 at 94th, marking a rise of more than 50 places compared to 2025.
In total, Khalifa University recorded 15 ranked subjects this year, with three disciplines in the Top 100 globally and a further three within the Top 150. Mathematics, mechanical engineering, and computer science and information systems maintained positions within the Top 150.
The QS World University Rankings by Subject evaluated 6,277 institutions worldwide, with 1,912 universities ranked across 55 subjects and five broad academic areas, generating more than 21,000 ranking entries.
