General Women’s Union Launches Emirati Entrepreneurs Councils Abroad

The General Women’s Union (GWU), under the guidance of Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, has initiated the formation of Emirati Women Entrepreneurs Councils in friendly nations aimed at increasing the global business footprint of Emirati women. Each council will be co-led and managed in coordination with UAE embassies and relevant economic institutions. The councils are designed to promote bilateral investment, foster women’s participation in the global economy, and support sustainable development. The first council will operate in the People’s Republic of China, launching with a training programme titled “Emirati Women Entrepreneurs: Exploring the Business Landscape in China” across Beijing, Hangzhou, Shanghai, and Yiwu. The initiative focuses on areas such as e-commerce, digital innovation, and SME management. The councils will drive initiatives such as joint conferences, exhibitions, virtual networking platforms, and investment exchanges. They aim to link Emirati entrepreneurs with global peers and institutional partners, promoting cross-border collaboration and business growth.
