First Online Land Allocation in Egypt Will Run Until February
The initiative intends to make the ownership of land easier while fulfilling the needs of a growing population.
The first online allocation of land within new cities in Egypt enables the public to reserve available land plots through the Ministry of Housing’s website, as approved by the New Urban Communities Authority. There are currently 305 land parcels available up until February, when the project reaches its completion.
The Ministry of Housing’s website offers land plots in New Cairo, May 15th, Badr, New Assiut, New Mansoura, Sadat City, New Salhia, New Burj Al Arab, New Nubaria, and 10th of Ramadan, amongst others. The initiative intends to make the application and ownership of land easier while also presenting job and investment prospects, and fulfilling the rising need for land as the population rises. The programme also offers a legal alternative to unlawful land broking, replacing the individual land lottery methods that were abolished in May 2021.
