Family & Community Initiatives Approved Under Dubai Social Agenda 33

A new package of initiatives aimed at strengthening Emirati families and enhancing community wellbeing has been approved as part of the Dubai Social Agenda 33.
The initiative package includes the second phase of the Sheikha Hind bint Maktoum Family Programme, alongside the Dubai Family-Friendly Strategy, the Vibrant Dubai health and fitness initiative for government employees, the Barzat Dubai neighbourhood engagement project and an expansion of the Community Neighbourhood Majalis Project.
A subcommittee has been formed to oversee projects under the second phase of the Sheikha Hind bint Maktoum Family Programme. The wider strategy focuses on creating an integrated framework to support Emirati families at different stages of life. The Vibrant Dubai initiative introduces health screenings, physical fitness assessments and psychological readiness programmes for Dubai Government employees as part of broader workplace wellbeing efforts.
Updates were also presented on the Dubai Weddings Programme, which has organised 1,077 weddings so far, accounting for 43.5% of citizens’ weddings in the emirate and representing a 44% increase.
Community facilities form a central component of the new initiatives. Under the Community Neighbourhood Majalis Project, four new majalis will open in Nad Al Sheba, Al Awir, Al Warqa and Al Barsha South. A third phase will introduce five additional majalis in Nad Al Hamar, Jumeirah, Ghadeer Al Tair, Al Twar and Lehbab. The AED 160 million project is scheduled to begin in the second quarter of 2026 with completion expected by the third quarter of 2027.
Plans also include a second branch of Thukher Club at Quranic Park in Al Khawaneej, building on the existing branch located at Al Safa Park.
The Barzat Dubai project introduces neighbourhood councils designed to strengthen communication and cohesion among residents.
