Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly departed for Washington on February 17th, 2026 to participate in the first meeting of the Board of Peace, representing President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.

He is accompanied by Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty. The meeting marks the inaugural session of the Board since its establishment as an international platform aimed at formulating sustainable solutions to regional and global conflicts.

Discussions are expected to centre primarily on the Palestinian cause and broader efforts to address ongoing regional tensions. Egypt’s participation follows an invitation from the United States Administration and reflects Cairo’s stated role in supporting regional stability and comprehensive peace efforts.

The visit also comes amid discussions surrounding proposals related to Gaza and the West Bank, including positions opposing the displacement of Palestinians from Gaza and the annexation of the West Bank.

During the visit, Madbouly is scheduled to deliver Egypt’s official address to the Board, outlining the country’s perspective on the issues under discussion.
