Egypt Wins Sitting Volleyball World Cup After Beating Brazil
The result comes two years after Egypt took silver at the 2023 edition held in Cairo.

Egypt won the Sitting Volleyball World Cup in the United States after defeating Brazil 3–1 in the final. The match ended with set scores of 25-19, 22-25, 25-15 and 25-21.
The team opened its campaign with straight-sets wins against India, Japan and Australia, before beating Croatia 3–1. After a loss to Brazil in an earlier round, Egypt returned to defeat the Netherlands 3–0, then overcame Kazakhstan in the semifinal 3–0 to reach the final, where they beat Brazil 3–1 for the title.
The result comes two years after Egypt took silver at the 2023 edition held in Cairo. The team is set to compete at the 2026 World Championship in China. Egypt has previously won three Paralympic medals in men’s sitting volleyball in 2004, 2016 and 2024.
