Egypt Qualifies for 2026 FIFA World Cup After 3-0 Djibouti Win
The national Egyptian football team will play in the FIFA World Cup after an eight-year absence.

After a 3-0 win over Djibouti today, Egypt has officially qualified to play in the 2026 Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) World Cup after an eight-year absence.
The first goal was made by Ibrahim Adel, and the other two goals were made by Mohamed Salah, leading Egypt to the top of Group A and a guaranteed spot in the upcoming global tournament across the US, Mexico and Canada. This would be the fourth time Egypt makes it to the World Cup in history, after 1934, 1990, and 2018.
