Egypt Will Host 2027 Darts World Cup in Sharm El Sheikh
Sharm El Sheikh International Congress Centre will host the biennial event, which coincides with the championship’s 50th anniversary in 2027.

Egypt won the right to host the 2027 Darts World Cup after its bid received an absolute majority during the 29th General Assembly of the International Darts Federation in Seoul, held alongside the 2025 Darts World Cup with representatives of 80 member countries. Egypt’s file prevailed over rival bids from the United States and Hungary. After assessing options over two years, the Egyptian Darts Federation selected Sharm El Sheikh as host city, with the Sharm El Sheikh International Congress Centre designated as the venue. The selection cited the centre’s capacity and track record hosting major events including the World Youth Forum, the United Nations Climate Change Conference COP27, and the World Billiards Championship. The bid - presented by Dr Yehia Abdelkader, president of the Egyptian, Arab and African darts federations - also highlighted security and stability, year-round mild weather, and competitive arrangements for accommodation, subsistence, and internal and international air transport to meet participating delegations’ requirements. The 2027 edition coincides with the 50th anniversary of the championship’s launch, with the Egyptian bid outlining a special celebratory programme.
