Egypt & UNICEF Launch Kindergarten Intellectual Education Curriculum
The new curriculum emphasises children’s overall development - including intellectual, language, social, motor and emotional growth - and integrates children with special needs.

The Ministry of Education and Technical Education, in collaboration with UNICEF and five Egyptian universities, has launched Egypt’s first intellectual education curriculum for kindergarten. Experts from the Central Administration of General Education and the General Administration of Special Education designed the programme to promote inclusive education and build essential life skills from the earliest years. The new curriculum emphasises children’s overall development - including intellectual, language, social, motor and emotional growth - and integrates children with special needs through interactive activities tailored to individual differences. It introduces daily living skills and provides kindergarten teachers with modern tools and innovative teaching methods. The programme also aims to nurture values such as respect, cooperation and a sense of belonging to help lay the foundation for responsible citizenship. By offering inclusive education from kindergarten, the initiative seeks to ensure equal learning opportunities for all children. The curriculum as part of the state’s ongoing commitment to broad education reform, aligned with efforts under its Education 2.0 initiative, to support those with disabilities, expand teacher training, and update teaching materials across the system.
