Green Corridor Launched Between Dubai & Oman For Sea & Air Cargo
The initiative introduces a faster transit process designed to ease cross-border trade and strengthen regional supply chains.
A new logistics route between Dubai and Oman is set to streamline the movement of cargo across the region, following the launch of a “Green Corridor” for sea and air shipments.
Announced by Dubai Customs, the initiative introduces a faster transit process designed to ease cross-border trade and strengthen regional supply chains. Developed in coordination with Omani customs authorities, the corridor allows shipments routed through Omani ports to move onwards to Dubai through a pre-approved and simplified route.
Under the system, transit declarations are first submitted in Oman through fast-track customs procedures before cargo is transferred through the designated corridor. Containers are then sealed by shipping agents to ensure the integrity of the goods as they move across ports and borders.
Once shipments reach the Hatta Border Crossing, documentation including manifests and bills of lading is submitted before cargo proceeds to customs clearance centres in Dubai.
The initiative is part of broader efforts to improve logistics efficiency between the UAE and Oman, while making it easier for goods travelling through Omani ports to reach Dubai through a more streamlined process.
