Driverless Sweepers Deployed on Abu Dhabi Corniche
The units follow pre-programmed routes to clean and sanitise pavements and public spaces without human intervention.

Driverless street-cleaning vehicles known as RoboSweepers have been rolled out along Abu Dhabi’s corniche to clean and sanitise public areas. Developed by K2 subsidiary Autogo under the supervision of the Smart and Autonomous Systems Council, the project is overseen by the Department of Municipalities and Transport.
The RoboSweepers use sensors and modern navigation technologies to move along pre-programmed routes, cleaning without direct human input.
The rollout aligns with Abu Dhabi’s wider adoption of autonomous mobility. Robotaxis in the emirate have completed 30,000 trips, with 44 vehicles operating across Yas Island, Saadiyat and Masdar City. Services later expanded to Al Reem and Al Maryah Islands, tripling the fleet in 12 months.
