Dubai Taxi Minimum Fare Rises to AED 13
The Roads and Transport Authority updated Dubai’s taxi fares lifting the app booked minimum from AED 12 to AED 13 with booking fees set for peak off peak and night trips.

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has adjusted the city’s taxi tariff structure to increase the minimum fare to AED 13, up from the previous base of AED 12. The updated fare system also introduces differentiated booking and flag-fall charges depending on time of day and service mode.
The revised fare structure applies to both app-booked and traditional metered taxis, aiming to reflect demand variations across peak hours, evenings, and weekends. The RTA says the changes complement broader efforts to standardise fares, improve service cost-reflectiveness and continue investment in Dubai’s transportation infrastructure.
Commuters are advised to be mindful of these changes—short rides will now begin at the increased base fare, while trips during higher-demand periods may see additional cost increments.
