Commercial Bank of Dubai to Redeem USD 600 Million AT1 Bonds

Commercial Bank of Dubai has announced it will redeem USD 600 million of perpetual additional tier 1 (AT1) capital securities on April 21st, 2026.
The bank said it will exercise its call option on the bonds, which were originally issued in 2020 as part of its regulatory capital structure. Following the redemption, the lender will proceed with delisting the securities by cancelling their listings on Euronext Dublin and Nasdaq Dubai.
Perpetual AT1 instruments are typically used by banks to strengthen capital buffers, with issuers retaining the option to redeem them after a specified period.
The move reflects a capital management decision by the bank, with the redemption concluding the lifecycle of the issuance and removing the instruments from public trading.
