Abu Dhabi’s First-Ever Top-Rope Climbing Showdown Lands at CLYMB

CLYMB Yas Island, home to the region’s tallest indoor climbing wall, will host its first top-rope climbing competition, The SUMMYT Showdown, on September 21st.
The event will bring together climbers of all levels to test their endurance and skill on the venue’s towering walls. Competitors will face 30 technical routes during the qualifiers, with only the top five men and women advancing to the finals. From there, they’ll take on two newly designed climbs on the dramatic 20-metre Summit Wall, with the winners crowned later that evening.
The programme runs from 11 AM to 8:30 PM, concluding with an awards ceremony. Spectators are welcome, and registration remains open for those wishing to compete, though spots are limited.
