10 New Mosques Open Across Dubai With More Planned During Ramadan
Five more mosques set to open this month to expand worship capacity.
Ten new mosques have opened across Dubai since the start of 2026, with five more scheduled to be inaugurated during Ramadan to accommodate rising demand for places of worship in residential communities.
The expansion was announced by the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department, which said the new sites are designed to improve accessibility as the emirate’s population continues to grow. The additional capacity is expected to support worshippers throughout the holy month and strengthen religious infrastructure within neighbourhoods.
The newly opened mosques are distributed across key residential districts, including Al Barsha South 2, Airport City, Wadi Al Safa 5, Al Khawaneej 2 and Umm Hurair 2. Additional sites are located in Muhaisnah 2, Nad Al Sheba 1, Wadi Al Amardi, Nad Al Hamar and Umm Suqeim 2. Together, the mosques are expected to serve thousands of worshippers daily.
According to the department, service upgrades are being introduced using advanced operational standards and smart solutions to enhance the sustainability of endowment facilities and modernise mosque management.
