Velents Closes $1.5M Seed Round to Launch Arabic-Speaking AI Agent

An AI colleague that answers calls in Arabic, tracks orders, and never clocks off is the promise behind Agent.sa. Saudi and Egyptian-based enterprise AI firm Velents.ai has secured $1.5 million in funding to support the launch of Agent.sa, its new Arabic-first AI employee solution. The disclosed round is backed by angel investors, including senior figures from Google and Boston Consulting Group. Founded in 2020 by Mohamed Gaber and Abdulaziz Almuhaydib, Velents initially focused on recruitment automation before pivoting in 2023 toward broader AI-driven enterprise solutions. The company now serves clients in both Saudi Arabia and Egypt, spanning government ministries, universities and private firms. Agent.sa is designed to function as a full-time AI employee capable of handling voice and text interactions in Arabic—covering platforms like WhatsApp, Telegram, Instagram and phone calls—while integrating with internal systems such as CRM and order-tracking tools. It aims to serve industries including banking, telecom, logistics and healthcare. “We’re not just building a tool,” said Mohamed Gaber, co-founder and CEO of Velents. “We’re delivering a real digital employee who works alongside human teams. Our goal is to empower Arab companies with an intelligent worker who understands their language and their dialect and enhances their daily productivity.” The new capital will be used to scale Velents’ AI infrastructure, accelerate regional product adoption and lay the groundwork for a larger funding round planned for early 2026.
