UAE-Based Qureos Raises $5M Seed to Accelerate AI-Driven Hiring
Middle East–founded hiring firm Qureos has secured $5 million to scale its AI system that cuts recruitment timelines to days.
Middle East–founded AI hiring platform Qureos has raised $5 million in seed funding as it looks to scale a system designed to reduce recruitment timelines from months to as little as six days.
The round was co-led by Prosus Ventures and Salica Oryx Fund, with participation from Oraseya Capital, PlusVC, F6 Ventures, BDev Ventures, Sunny Side Venture Partners and Daniel Tyre. Existing backers COTU Ventures and Globivest also took part. Founded by Alexander Epure and Usama Nini, Qureos positions hiring as a single, automated workflow rather than a series of fragmented manual steps.
At the centre of the platform is Iris, an AI assistant that manages sourcing, screening and interviewing for employers and recruitment agencies. Roles are distributed across more than 2,000 job boards worldwide, as well as social and direct channels, with candidate profiles enriched using publicly available data and AI prediction models. Screening is completed in under 15 seconds, after which shortlisted candidates undergo AI-led, role-specific interviews via audio or video.
The platform integrates with established applicant tracking and HR systems, including SAP SuccessFactors and Oracle, allowing organisations to deploy it within existing infrastructure or use it as a standalone solution. Qureos estimates that automating early-stage screening and interviews can remove the equivalent of a full year of recruiter workload in high-volume hiring environments.
Qureos is currently used by more than 1,000 enterprise and public sector organisations, including Qatar Airways, Dubai Economy and Tourism, BAAN Holdings and Union Properties. The platform has been built with regional labour market requirements in mind, including localisation and nationalisation policies across Gulf markets, while supporting global hiring needs.
