EFG Hermes Tops Brokerage Rankings Across Five MENA Markets
The investment bank ranked first in Egypt, Kuwait, Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Nasdaq Dubai during the first half of 2026.
EFG Hermes, the investment banking arm of EFG Holding, ranked first in brokerage across five MENA markets during the first half of 2026, according to official exchange data.
The firm led the Egyptian Exchange, Boursa Kuwait, the Dubai Financial Market (DFM), the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) and Nasdaq Dubai, while also ranking first across the UAE on a combined basis.
In the UAE, EFG Hermes recorded market shares of 48.52% on DFM, 38.92% on ADX and 65.69% on Nasdaq Dubai, giving it a combined market share of 42.87% and moving it from second place in 2025 to first in the first half of 2026. In Kuwait, its market share rose to 41.56% from 33.19%, while on Nasdaq Dubai it increased to 65.69% from 20.59%. On the Egyptian Exchange, the firm's market share reached 29.60%, up from 27.76% in 2025. EFG Hermes ranked 10th in Saudi Arabia during the first half of the year with a 6.53% market share.
According to the company, its brokerage business continues to expand its electronic and algorithmic trading capabilities, strengthen institutional trading connectivity and grow its stock borrowing and lending offering as regional capital markets continue to evolve.
