Egyptian Exchange Adds 550,000 New Investors in 2026
EGX Chairman Omar Radwan said a new investor is joining the market every 45 seconds, with around one million added over two years.
The Egyptian Exchange has added around 550,000 new investors since the beginning of 2026, Chairman Omar Radwan said during the Money Made Simple conference.
According to Radwan, a new investor is currently joining the market every 45 seconds, following approximately 300,000 additions in 2025 and bringing the number of new investors over the past two years to around one million.
Radwan also outlined the exchange’s near-term listing pipeline, saying fintech company MNT-Halan, trading under the proposed ticker HALN, is expected to complete its listing within two weeks. Misr Life Insurance and Banque du Caire are also expected to follow later in 2026.
The growth comes as the exchange expands regional cooperation and trading activity. In September, the EGX signed a memorandum of understanding with the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange focused on financial-sector cooperation, while Radwan has previously put average daily trading value on the Egyptian market at around USD 200 million.
