AWS & e& Launch UAE Sovereign Cloud Platform for Regulated Industries
The platform enables government entities and regulated industries to securely adopt cloud and AI technologies while ensuring all data remains stored, processed, and governed within the UAE.
e& enterprise, in collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS), has officially launched the UAE Sovereign Launchpad; a cloud platform designed to accelerate secure cloud and AI adoption across the nation’s public and regulated sectors.
Endorsed by the UAE Cybersecurity Council and aligned with the National Cloud Security Policy, the platform provides a compliant framework for organisations operating in sectors such as healthcare, finance, education, oil and gas, and space. It allows government entities and regulated industries to deploy all workloads—excluding those classified as Secret or Top Secret—while maintaining full data residency and governance within the country.
Hosted in the AWS Middle East (UAE) Region and managed by e& enterprise, the launchpad offers a production-ready environment built on zero-trust security principles, in-country key management, and automated compliance reporting. It aims to help organisations modernise securely, ensuring national data protection requirements are met without limiting innovation or agility.
The UAE Sovereign Launchpad was first announced in May 2025 as part of a broader initiative to advance the nation’s cloud and AI capabilities in line with the We the UAE 2031 vision. Its commercial rollout marks the transition from pilot stage to full operational readiness, giving both public and private sector organisations immediate access to localised, compliant cloud infrastructure.
The service is now available through e& enterprise for readiness assessment or direct production deployment.
