The Sudanese Film Group, pioneers of Sudanese storytelling, is bringing five landmark short films to Dubai for a special retrospective at Cinema Akil in 25hours Hotel on November 22nd, 2025. Recently restored by Arsenal Berlin, these works reclaim a vital chapter in Sudan’s cinematic heritage and renew the country’s enduring connection to the screen. The lineup features ‘The Tomb,’ ‘The Rope,’ ‘Africa,’ ‘The Jungle,’ ‘Drums and Revolution,’ ‘Four Times for Children,’ and ‘A Camel’—a rare glimpse into the movement that captured Sudan’s imagination, defiance, and artistry. Tickets are priced at AED 50 and are available through Cinema Akil’s official website.
