The Red Sea International Film Festival’s ‘In Conversation’ series offers an intimate look at the successes and challenges of the actors and filmmakers taking the stage this year, inviting them to share the stories and turning points that shaped their paths.
This year’s line-up begins with Egyptian icon Lebleba, who arrives with her latest film ‘Wedding Rehearsal’, adding a new chapter to a career that has spanned six decades and left a defining mark on Arab cinema.
Joining her is Amir El Masry, the lead in the Festival’s opening film ‘Giant’. His session traces the momentum of his recent roles and the choices that guided him from early television parts to major international features.
Also taking the stage is Tunisian director Kaouther Ben Hania, whose film ‘The Voice of Hind Rajab’ screens as a special presentation. Her conversation delves into her documentary approach, her interest in hybrid forms and the themes that continue to shape her storytelling.
Rounding out the headline speakers is acclaimed Saudi actor Yacoub Alfarhan, appearing with his new film ‘A Matter of Life and Death’. His session reflects on the evolution of his career and his role in the region’s expanding film landscape.
