Dubai Airport Launches World's First AI-Powered Passenger Corridor

Dubai International Airport has introduced what is described as the world’s first artificial intelligence-powered passenger corridor, allowing travellers to bypass traditional passport control entirely.

The corridor, referred to as the 'red carpet,' enables passengers to walk through in seconds without presenting documents or stopping at immigration counters. Unlike traditional checkpoints that process one passenger at a time, the AI-powered system can handle up to 10 travellers simultaneously.

The technology uses artificial intelligence to recognise passenger data before they reach the corridor, automatically verifying their identity and flagging any suspicious cases for manual review. While other major airports, including Heathrow in London and John F. Kennedy in New York, have experimented with automated lanes, Dubai International Airport's approach is designed to double processing capacity and maintain strict security standards.
