Registration Opens for 34th Egypt International Marathon in Luxor
The annual race returns to Luxor on January 8th, 2027, with marathon, half marathon, 12K and 5K distances.
Registration has opened for the 34th Egypt International Marathon, which returns to Luxor on January 8th, 2027.
Often described as one of the oldest marathons in Africa and the Middle East, the race has long drawn runners from Egypt and abroad with a course that winds through one of the world's most historic landscapes, passing ancient temples, villages and the West Bank of the Nile.
The 2027 edition will once again offer four race distances: the full marathon, half marathon, 12K and 5K, allowing both seasoned runners and casual participants to take part.
Organisers announced the opening of registrations through the marathon's official channels, with entries now available via the event's website.
Held annually in Luxor, the Egypt International Marathon has become a fixture on the region's running calendar, combining competitive racing with one of the country's most distinctive settings.
