From the get-go, the sun has always been at the centre of SOL&NEL’s universe. It’s in the name: SOL, the bold, eternal source of life, and NEL, the bearer of light, a mirror for whoever slips into the brand’s garments. When SOL&NEL first emerged, it was with their debut summer collection Bigger than Life—a launch rooted in bold beginnings and the belief that clothing could be as warm and enduring as sunlight itself.Designer Hanna Hazem and muse Nour El Nabawy ground that radiance in pieces that form the foundations of a wardrobe. “We designed staples as foundations, not basics,” Hazem tells SceneStyled. “Denim and T-shirts became canvases where embroidery, detail, and craftsmanship turn the everyday into timeless expressions of light.”The collection introduces T-shirts, denim, linen shirts, and linen pants—pieces that strike the balance between ease and refinement, resonating across generations. “Nature still guides us,” Hazem explains. “Through breathable linens, organic textures, and earthy embroidery, the pieces feel alive, grounding wearers in their roots while elevating them in elegance.”

If Bigger than Life is a sunrise, it’s also the glow of daylight, the part of the day where life truly happens. “‘Bigger than Life’ is SOL&NEL’s sunrise,” El Nabawy reflects. “Bold beginnings, yes, but also foundations that define a lifestyle.”There’s an intimacy to the collection, a sense that each piece carries a private luminosity. It’s not streetwear chasing a trend, but something subtler, slower, cinematic. “We wanted people to feel like Nel, the bearer of sunlight,” Hazem says. “Radiant yet graceful, powerful yet elegant. Each piece is designed to let you carry that luminous presence, as if wrapped in light itself.”For Nabawy, who embodies the brand’s spirit in front of the camera, the clothes resonate beyond their clean lines and sun-stitched embroidery. “Wearing this collection feels like stepping into a cinematic frame,” he says, “where identity shines with timeless elegance.”
