CEER Motors Prepares First Electric SUV Ahead of 2026 Production
Saudi startup CEER Motors is testing its first electric vehicle, an SUV developed with Foxconn and Rimac.
Saudi Arabian electric vehicle startup CEER Motors is preparing its first production model, an electric SUV that has been spotted undergoing testing ahead of a planned manufacturing start in the fourth quarter of 2026.
Images of the camouflaged prototype suggest a design with a high front profile and expansive windscreen, drawing comparisons to Tesla’s Cybertruck, while the body shape points clearly to an SUV rather than a pickup. The test vehicle also appears to feature upward-opening doors similar in style to those seen on the Tesla Model X. The rear configuration further distinguishes it from a truck layout, reinforcing its positioning as a sport utility vehicle.
CEER Motors is developing the vehicle in collaboration with Foxconn, which has been involved since the early stages to support engineering and production logistics. The company is also working with Rimac to supply the electric drivetrain, alongside an agreement with Hyundai Transys covering additional drivetrain systems.
The project is financed by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, which is backing CEER Motors as part of broader efforts to establish a domestic electric vehicle manufacturing sector. While the prototype offers early insight into the vehicle’s design direction, technical specifications and performance details have not yet been disclosed.
Production of CEER’s first electric SUV is expected to begin in late 2026, marking a key milestone in the Kingdom’s push to build local EV capabilities and expand its automotive industry.
