Egyptian Designer Ahmed Azzam Opens Flagship Store in Arkan Plaza
Weaving legacy into top handle bags and canvas totes, Azzam actively draws on ancient motifs when crafting his pieces.
In honour of his 10th anniversary, coveted Egyptian designer Ahmed Azzam (@zaamofficial) is opening his first ever store in Sheikh Zayed’s Arkan Plaza this Saturday, May 19th. A sensory experience of sorts, Azzam’s designs - as seen on superstar rapper Cardi B, social media personality and musician Niki Demartino, and beloved Egyptian actress Youssra - are innately three dimensional, both in their execution and their dexterous ode to the civilization and contemporary culture that continuously inspire them.

“We’ve achieved a lot in the past 10 years within the local market and we believe it’s time to show the world our designs,” founder Ahmed Azzam tells Scene Styled. “Our products are made by Egyptian artisans in different fields and that is something we are actually super proud of and always aim to highlight.”

The artist’s work is akin to that of tapestry, picturesque in essence and boldly structured. The store will serve to reflect those sentiments, boasting an array of art, resonant displays as well as the designer’s most loved pieces. Azzam's recent deep dive into celestial-inspired pieces will also complement his classic leather pyramid bags and printed summer totes on the Sheikh Zayed store’s freshly-furnished shelves.
