Kareem Rahma Lands in Syria for Keep the Meter Running Episode

Kareem Rahma has made a career out of New York City in motion, from his hit Subway Takes to Keep the Meter Running, his long-form love letter to the city’s iconic yellow cabs. Now, he’s taking the meter international.

The latest episode of Keep the Meter Running leaves New York for Damascus, marking the show’s first international and its longest episode yet.

Rahma’s guide is Bashar, a Damascus taxi driver who takes him through the city’s Old City.

And while Damascus gets the international debut, we’re still waiting for the obvious next stop: Cairo, Rahma’s hometown.
